The best sneakers for your festival season 2025

Emanuele De Martino

The sun is coming out again, the first line-ups are announced, and your group chat is full of plans. April and May are packed with festivals you have to be at: Wavy, DGTL, King’s Day, Verbond, Joy, and Music On. But what shoes do you wear? If you’re moving all day through grass, the city, and the dance floor, you want one thing: sneakers that look good and feel great.

That’s why at Snrkickz we’ve curated a selection of sneakers that match the vibe of each festival. Whether you’re going for street, techno, or full-on orange vibes – here are the kicks you need.

Wavy – April 12 & 13

Wavy is all about looks. Here you spot the most outspoken fits of the season, with thick layers, designer bags, and statement sneakers. You don’t necessarily want comfort – you want iconic.

Snrkickz tips: Maison Mihara Yasuhiro, Rick Owens DRKSHDW, or Balenciaga Triple S.
Chunky, edgy, and eye-catching. Not for the average festival-goer, but perfect if you see your outfit as a work of art.

DGTL – April 18 & 19

DGTL is sleek and energetic. You stand for a long time, you dance even longer, and your kicks take a beating. Think performance, but with a stylish twist.

Snrkickz tips: Asics Gel-Kayano 14, Nike Zoom Vomero 5, or New Balance 2002R.
Futuristic runners with sturdy soles, breathable materials, and colors that fit the underground setting.

King’s Day – April 27

King’s Day is a mix of vintage, orange flair, and steady footwear. Your moves take you from market to boat to rave. Your sneakers have to keep up with it all.

Snrkickz tips: New Balance 1906R, Nike Air Force 1 or Reebok Club C Vintage.
Go for light color schemes, a sturdy sole, and combine with denim or orange accessories for that ultimate King’s Day vibe.

Verbond – May 5

Verbond is sleek, musical, and fashionable. Your fit is chosen down to the last detail, including your sneakers.

Snrkickz tips: Asics Gel-1130, Converse Chuck 70 High or Yeezy 500.
Clean, chunky, and modern. Fits well with workwear or techwear without stealing the show from your whole look.

Joy – May 6

Joy is all about positive energy, colorful people, and sun vibes. It’s an outdoor party where your fit can be just as cheerful as your mood.

Snrkickz tips: Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Frayed Black, Adidas Handball Spezial or New Balance 9060 in pastel.
Soft colors, light materials, and comfy soles – perfect for dancing or just floating.

Music On – May 10 & 11

Here everything is a bit more international, a bit more mature, and the style is on point. Think black, silver, clean fits, and steady sneakers.

Snrkickz tips: Nike Vomero 5, New Balance 2002R or an Asics Gel-Kayano in tonal shades.
Sneakers you can wear until the sun comes up – and then a few hours extra.
